In logistics, shipping, and production, outer packaging is often reused multiple times. It protects several individual product packages, bundles goods for transport, and must be opened and securely closed again and again.
A typical example is larger corrugated cardboard packaging used to transport several individual packages, such as shoe boxes, together.
For such applications, the way the outer packaging is closed can make a significant difference.
If cartons are resealed with adhesive tape each time they are used, this results in additional material consumption. At the same time, the surface of the corrugated cardboard can be damaged by repeatedly opening the packaging and removing the adhesive tape.
Bayonet fasteners offer a reusable alternative. They connect the base and lid of the packaging and allow it to be opened and securely closed again quickly.
This means that the outer packaging can be used for additional transport cycles without requiring new adhesive tape each time.
The advantages at a glance:
- Quick opening and closing
- Suitable for reusable packaging concepts
- Reduced need for adhesive tape
- Easy handling during the packaging process
- Easier separation of packaging materials
Especially in recurring transport and logistics processes, solutions like these can help make packaging processes simpler and more efficient.
